In a bold move to accelerate its growth in biomanufacturing, Hefei has hosted two major conferences within three months, showcasing its ambition to become a leader in the field.
These events have attracted top scientists and industry leaders, including academicians and business executives, establishing the city's growing influence in biomanufacturing.
Central to this momentum is the overall and dedicated support of Grand Union of Innovation (GUi), an integrated sci-tech platform in Hefei, Anhui province, that mainly facilitates the commercialization of sci-tech research.

For the city or the province to extend its tentacle in a new field, GUi serves as a testbed for new innovation-boost models, combining government support with market-oriented strategies. By fostering partnerships with prestigious institutions like the University of Science and Technology of China and firms held by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, GUi has nestled a solid foundation for collaborative research and development.
To further drive innovation, GUi has created a robust funding ecosystem, referred to as a "fund jungle," which focuses on early-stage investments in novel technologies and future industries. It also activates to enhance resource connectivity through a global network of innovation centers and alumni.

Looking ahead, Hefei expands its innovation ecosystem with the development of specialized industrial parks and production bases, aiming to expand the integration of research,
development, and commercialization. With its dynamic approach and innovative practices, GUi charges Hefei to the forefront of the biomanufacturing landscape.
